West Cheshire AC youngsters to struggle at Olympic Park at UK School Games

A match up of West Cheshire AC youngsters will prove off their skill in front of thousands of fans at the most important venue for this summer’s London Olympics. Montez-Brown and Kelly Baker, from Ellesmere Port, have been chosen to participate in the UK School Games, which is predictable to attract up to 35,000 spectators.

Athletics playing main role in university life

In Mid-American Conference in the 2009-2010 season in football, wrestling, gymnastics, soccer and baseball, multiple programs have moved into “rebuilding periods".

CMU’s football program won three MAC titles and appears in four bowl games between 2006 and 2009. Since then, the team has recorded back-to-back 3-9 seasons.

The men’s basketball and football teams have both struggled for the last few years, but the future looks bright.

As the top gross programs work to rebuild their winning name, CMU has had its share of success elsewhere.

The wrestle team has finished 10 straight seasons as MAC champions, while the baseball team won back-to-back MAC West division titles. Volleyball won its first MAC championship in 2011, and both the soccer and gymnastics teams have won two consecutive MAC championships.

Sporting events to excitement up CPM

The CPM will organize National and State athletic meets, in connection with their 20th Party Congress, in March. A national-level marathon with prize money of more than Rs 2.5 lakh will also be conducted.

The national meet will attribute athletes from all over the country opposing in 11 events with the individual champion taking home Rs 25,000 while the next two placeholders will get Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000, respectively. To take part in the meet, an athlete should have held at least sixth position in either a state meet organized by an athletic association of any state, an inter-collegiate athletic meet organized by a recognized university.

Rearrangement in UK Athletics Plan Department

On Tuesday the UK Athletics Department declared that they will restructure its senior leadership.

Marc Hill, Sandy Bell and DeWayne Peevy have been promoted to decision-making directors of athletics for the student services, internal and external operations.

The leaving of Rob Mullens and Mark Coyle move will file roles, which took athletic director position at Oregon and Boise State and also fill the void left by the former Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Internal Operations Lisa Patterson.


We have structurally altered our senior leadership arrangement based on the assembled group of ability. Athletic Director Mitch Barnhart said that everyone have been awarded special recognition for their work. I want to prize those who have worked hard for the foundation for the success.
